Ok, I haven't played in a long time. I got a new game, you don't care for the name, and I had to upgrade my graphics card for the new game to work. It's wonderful! Then I hasd the itch to play the sims 2... Well, The graphic took a step up, I can now see the houses next door and the textures for the ground is better without changing any setting from before the upgrade. You're all thinking great, right? Not great, I sent my sims shopping and the game slowed to a crawl! The new graphics are too much for my system! *cries* It's almost unplayable. Does anyone know if buying more system RAM will help? I have 512MBs and can double it for over 70 bucks. I have a P4 2.66GHz.

Playing in the sims homes are no problems everything looks a little better.

Oh and so this isn't just a pity party...

I don't know why Kevin, Nicky and Aaron tried to use the smallest bathroom at the same time, when I have two other larger ones for them. So Kevin took a spong bath?!?! I'm not complaining, I just want to know how to make him do that again. *snickers*

And I don't know how Aaron can do any homework with that happening right there... Kevin and Nicky have no shame.

I believe more RAM would help-- like 1GB. I have 1.5GB of RAM on mine and everything works fine. Downloading content can slow down gameplay too.

* Windows XP, Me, 98, or 2000 operating system.
* 1.3 GHz or faster processor.
* 256 MB or more RAM.
o 512 MB or more RAM is recommended if you have multiple expansion packs.
* At least 1.5 GB free hard drive space.
* Supported T&L-capable video card with at least 32 MB of video RAM.

o x300, x600, x700, x800, and x850.
o x1300, x1600, x1800, x1900, and x1950.
* NVIDIA Quadro Series.
o Quadro, Quadro2, and Quadro4.

o PCX 5300, and 5900.
o 6200, 6600, and 6800.
o 7300, 7600, 7800, 7900, and 7950.

Thanks. I didn't want to buy more ram and find out that wouldn't help. Right now I have:
P4 2.66GHz
512MB RAM PC2700
ATI Radeon 9550 256MBs (I used to have an NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 64MBs)
More than enough HD (44GBs free)
And I have all the expansion packs so far, not the item packs though.

The good news I know a store I can find the RAM at cheaper, not as cheap as online, but I don't want to have to wait for it in the mail. Thank you.
